# recolic's private notebook

Some note about deploying my website and other things. Github is indeed a good online markdown writer.

I'm just making it public for convenience. **Please leave if you are not me. Commands here won't succeed without authorization.**


## common

currently using uswest server by DO, docker image is hosted by Amazon ECR (600163736385.dkr.ecr.us-west-2.amazonaws.com). 

Get login info (valid for 12h)

do not use docker attach.

**acme.sh and nginx**: Add nginx-reload to crontab to refresh certificate.

## push-to-markdown agent [closed, no data]

** DEPRECATED! Use a better recolic.net/go **

I use this tool to send testing result from GitlabCI-runner to markdown.

GitlabCI runner performs http request from its own docker container: `https://api.recolic.net/kv-store/set/my_project_test_result|http://img4me.com/6qtJ6Qw.png`

Then I use this link in my markdown: `Testing result is ![](https://api.recolic.net/kv-store/redirect_to_val/my_project_test_result|https://api.recolic.net/echo.php?Error_Occurred)`

Get image from img4me.com: `curl 'http://api.img4me.com/?text=Testing%20result%20not%20available...&font=firacode&fcolor=000000&size=10&bcolor=FFFFFF&type=png'`

Run docker image:

## EFB telegram bot [closed, unstable]

## Zulip [closed, unstable]

nginx conf and docker-compose conf archived at tw1 machine. Zulip eats massive RAM of the server. Not recommended.

docker-compose conf is basing on https://github.com/zulip/docker-zulip.git , and changes vol path, ports (3004:443).

- fresh deploy

However, you still need to run docker-exec to set the following commands:

1. Initial admin account (create initial organization). `manage.py generate_realm_creation_link`

2. TEST the email service, https://zulip.readthedocs.io/en/latest/production/email.html#troubleshooting

3. Mobile notification, https://zulip.readthedocs.io/en/latest/production/mobile-push-notifications.html

All data backed up in tw1 machine.

htmly is flat-file-d, so just add nginx config:

Then everything is done. Admin password is `recolic, genpasswd(recolic.net, v4)`

> Warning: installer.php not working on my prod environment. Seems like URL prefix error. Please download source code zip, and modify `config/*` manually. 

- migrate

all files inside /srv/html. Migrate together with www.recolic.net. 

## LAN printer (CUPS)

- build from stretch (from archwiki)

edit /etc/nsswitch.conf: find the `hosts` line, add `mdns_minimal [NOTFOUND=return]` BEFORE `resolve ... dns`. 

To allow LAN to access the web interface, do

Enable and start `avahi-daemon.service` and `org.cups.cupsd.service`.

- FAQ: 

1. Filter failed: Please read /var/log/cups/error.log to find the actual error. 
2. In error.log, foo2zjs-wrapper: command not found: Install aur package `foo2zjs-nightly`.

- Setup Host machine

Read [archwiki](https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Libvirt) and set libvirtd.conf:

DO NOT use systemd service (it always crash with `--listen parameter not permitted with systemd activation sockets`). Directly run `sudo libvirtd --listen`
